Cherlyn M. Carby is the visionary behind LushUs Hair (formally Skylar J's LushUs Kids), serving as its Founder and CEO. With over 20 years of combined expertise in the Legal and Finance Industry, she has proven herself as a skilled and accomplished professional. However, it was her role as a working mom that brought her face-to-face with a pressing challenge.
Struggling to find kid-friendly products that would be gentle on her daughter, Ryan Skylar's hair, Cherlyn experienced firsthand the difficulties of caring for a child with scalp sensitivity and allergies. Despite exhaustive searches, Cherlyn couldn't find a consistent, gentle, and non-toxic solution to address her daughter's condition.
Drawing inspiration from the nourishing properties of Caribbean fruits and botanical extracts, she created a product line free from harsh chemicals. Within an impressive six-month span, Cherlyn brought LushUs Kids to the marketplace, offering a range of hair care products that parents could trust. In addition, Cherlyn found the products beneficial, as it was also a solution to her post-partum hair loss.
